(A LETTER FROM PROVENDER’S BOARD PRESIDENT):
Dear Provender Alliance Members and Community,
It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that our steadfast Executive Director, Abigail Harris–who has served this organization for the past three years–has recently given notice due to increasing family responsibilities.
Abigail’s tenure has been characterized by a close-knit collaboration with the board of directors and in this environment she has led the Alliance through the most challenging years in its history and back into a pattern of growth and financial sustainability. And all of this during the pandemic in which we were quarantined , frightened, and fractured—a difficult time to nourish community, indeed.
Abigail will be sorely missed and we wish her health, good fortune, and a nourishing community in her future endeavors. Thank you. Abigail!
But, I also have some truly great news (thanks again to Abigail!). Planning is already underway for a return to Hood River and an in-person conference in October of this year!
This means Provender and the board of directors must immediately set their sights on the process of seeking out and selecting a new Executive Director.
This letter is a call to you, our entire community: to spread the word, share the job description, and help Provender find our next passionate, influential leader to continue the work of this vital organization and continue to nourish and strengthen our community, our food systems, and ourselves.
So, please share the job posting and job description widely with your immediate community so we can continue our mission: to Nourish, Educate, and Inspire.
In appreciation,
Troy Eustice
President
Provender Alliance Board of Directors
