Assistant Bookkeeper – Part-Time

Reports to and assists the Accounting Manager

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping:
  • Accounts Payable, including weekly check runs
  • Accounts Receivable, including collections
  • Bank and Credit Card Feeds
  • Credit Card Reconciliations
  • Check, distribute and process mail
  • Order and Maintain Office, Janitorial, and Other Supplies
  • Entering and reconciling online orders
  • Back up phones as needed

 

Desired Skills/Experience (but not limited to):

  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping (including debits, credits, and natural balances)
  • Solid and current QuickBooks (Versions 2015 or above) knowledge with a minimum of two (2)  years’ experience
  • Basic computer and other office equipment skills and abilities
  • MS Office Experience with proficiency in Excel and Outlook
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to speak with friendly professionalism
  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgment as well as make decisions within the scope of assigned authority
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve
  • Ability to interpret, understand policies and procedures and relate them to others
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations as they arise and to resolve matters in an appropriate and effective manner
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
  • Must be Detail Oriented, Well Organized, Self-motivated, Honest, Dependable, Punctual, Responsible, Efficient
  • Must like dogs
  • Office LEAN experience
