Assistant Bookkeeper – Part-Time
Reports to and assists the Accounting Manager
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Day-to-day bookkeeping:
- Accounts Payable, including weekly check runs
- Accounts Receivable, including collections
- Bank and Credit Card Feeds
- Credit Card Reconciliations
- Check, distribute and process mail
- Order and Maintain Office, Janitorial, and Other Supplies
- Entering and reconciling online orders
- Back up phones as needed
Desired Skills/Experience (but not limited to):
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping (including debits, credits, and natural balances)
- Solid and current QuickBooks (Versions 2015 or above) knowledge with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience
- Basic computer and other office equipment skills and abilities
- MS Office Experience with proficiency in Excel and Outlook
- Solid communication skills and the ability to speak with friendly professionalism
- Ability to exercise initiative and judgment as well as make decisions within the scope of assigned authority
- Ability to analyze and problem solve
- Ability to interpret, understand policies and procedures and relate them to others
- Ability to deal with difficult situations as they arise and to resolve matters in an appropriate and effective manner
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
- Must be Detail Oriented, Well Organized, Self-motivated, Honest, Dependable, Punctual, Responsible, Efficient
- Must like dogs
- Office LEAN experience
