Community Market Needs Your Help after Devastating Flood in Sebastopol, CA

March 11th 2019

Community Market has served Sonoma County, CA for over 40 years. Their unique business structure provides a worker-run, not-for-profit model with a mission to provide local, organic and ethically sourced products and education about nutrition, environmental and sustainability issues.

During the recent flooding in Sonoma County, their Sebastopol location sustained significant damage, beyond the scope of their financial resources.  They had to lay off 70 workers and are in the midst of trying to clean up so they can reopen.

Unfortunately, Community Market did not have flood insurance and the financial burden is great. Please help support their efforts to re-open their doors, restore jobs for 70 dedicated workers and return this important local resource to their valued Sebastopol community.

They have set up a ‘Go Fund Me’ account to help them with insurance premiums and rent. If you can help even a little, please see their website for ways you can help.
