Position Summary

Oversees the Company’s financial and administrative functions. Supervises a small team of personnel working in Information Technology, Accounting, and Facilities. Coordinates and oversees the Company’s financial planning and budgeting process. Provides financial analysis regarding proposed projects, capital expenditures, new lines of business, and evaluation of current Company activities. Provides strategic input as part of the Company’s leadership team.

  • Serve alongside other team members as part of the Company’s Leadership team, setting direction, solving problems, and prioritizing work across the organization.
  • Coordinate and oversee the Company’s annual budgeting process. Collaborates with department managers to produce accurate and timely sales, purchasing, production, inventory, SG&A, cash flow and capital budgets.
  • Track Company progress towards financial goals, and provides monthly budget variance reports. Provides financial dashboards to track progress towards Company goals.
  • Collaborate with Owners to manage Company relationships with banking, financing, and insurance partners.
  • Provide decision support and financial and strategic analysis regarding proposed capital expenditures, new lines of business, and other projects throughout the Company.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain team members to develop and track financial metrics to measure product and category performance.
  • Identify and counsel Owners and Management Team regarding potential financial risks and opportunities facing the Company.
  • Oversee personnel working in Information Technology, Accounting/Office Administration and Facilities. Responsible for managing these personnel to achieve Company and departmental goals. Ensures that all direct and indirect reports provide excellent service to coworkers and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relevant professional knowledge of the organic and natural foods industry.
  • Responsible for team’s budget performance and successful achievement of team goals.
  • Complete Company-sponsored training in Lean and Kaizen culture, use Lean and Kaizen principles in collaboration with co-workers to reduce waste, improve customer outcomes, and support Company goals and objectives.
  • Help drive our sustainability practices through participation and helping improve Company sustainability initiatives and programs. Complete Company-sponsored training and participate in waste-stream reduction program, minimizing waste and properly sorting waste-stream items into designated receptacles.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Education: Undergraduate degree in related field (Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, etc.) required. Advanced degree in related field (MBA, CPA etc.) preferred.


  •         Financial Management – Five years (minimum) previous experience in a position where financial management is a primary responsibility is required.
  •         Management – Five years (minimum) previous experience managing a team is required.
  •         Natural Foods – Five years (minimum) experience with the natural foods industry is preferred.
