General Description

The Production Manager is a consensus-driven leader and oversees all aspects of the Production Department (Liquid, Dry, and Consumer Packaging) at GloryBee. The key responsibilities of this position are ensuring a goal oriented Lean Enterprise approach to producing the highest quality product in a safe and productive manner through the leadership of department supervisors and support staff. The Production Manager has Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility, and is tasked with minimizing production shortages through proper planning and execution, and acts as the Company’s main point of contact regarding all production-related concerns.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Engineering.
Excellent people and communication skills.
Extensive knowledge and application of Lean Enterprise principles.
Experience in the Food and Beverage Industry is preferred.
Seven to ten years progressively responsible experience leading multiple departments of up to 50 people.
Ability to look at the strategic and broad view of the Company to prioritize competing production needs is imperative.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and document results. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form.
Advanced math skills required. Statistical Process Control (SPC) skills preferred.
Excellent computer (Microsoft Office Suite), time management, and organization skills are a must in this role.
Lean certification or American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification/training highly desirable. Familiarity with Training Within Industry (TWI) preferred.

 

GloryBee Distribution Supervisor

General Description

The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the GloryBee Distribution Department as well as working with senior management to set strategic goals that are congruent with the overall GloryBee strategic plan. On a daily basis, this position will dispatch loads and communicate special instructions to the drivers. This position resolves any maintenance, delivery, or customers service issues and ensures that all loads dispatch on time, with the appropriate paperwork complete and accompanying the driver for each load. This position oversees the Distribution Coordinator and all aspects of the Distribution Department at GloryBee and functions as the main point of contact for rest of the company (Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, Sales, etc.) regarding Distribution questions and/or concerns.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High School Diploma required; College degree preferred.
Strong math, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Two to four years of supervisory experience in general shipping or transportation.
In depth knowledge of Electronic Logging Devices, Fleet Management or other transportation software systems.
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
Good organizational and people skills. Strong customer skills are essential.
Microsoft Office Knowledge
In depth knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations as they relate to “Not for Hire” Carriers.
Current Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or the ability to obtain one.
