We are looking for a class A CDL driver for local deliveries in the Eugene/Springfield area. This position will primarily deliver goods to our Down To Earth Retail store in Eugene, as well as transfer products between warehouse locations. Will assist in the warehouse as needed.

  • Complies with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, and adheres to all company policies and DOT regulations as presented in the Down To Earth Distributors, Inc. Driver Policy Handbook and Alcohol and Drug Abuse Policy Handbook.
  • Maintains all requirements for CDL driver. Drives a class ‘A’ semi-tractor truck and performs “safety sensitive duties related to driving. Loads and unloads trucks as directed and maintains forklift certification. Safely operates equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and truck hydraulic lift gates; ensures that equipment is in working order and if not reports the problem to the Warehouse Manager.

Working Conditions: This is a physical job and the driver should be in good physical condition with good mobility. Physical exertion will require lifting boxes weighing 50#s on a regular basis and heavy odd-shaped containers. The driver must operate manual and hydraulic material handling equipment and hydraulic truck lift gates.

Required Skills, Licenses or Certificates:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • One year or more over-the-road experience as a CDL Truck Driver preferred.
  • Commercial Oregon Driver License – CDL, Class ‘A’
  • Job offer contingent upon passing a drug/alcohol screen and background check.
  • Accuracy in math, with spoken, reading, and writing skills in the English language.
