Who we are looking for:

We are seeking an energetic, dedicated and innovative National Sales Manager (NSM) to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is results-focused and experienced in building relationships. We need a positive and creative professional that is analytical and highly motivated to help us grow our business and manage our sales strategies. As NSM, you will manage customer accounts and define and execute programs related to implementing a sales strategy and executing on marketing efforts.

The individual will have direct responsibility for making sales calls. S/he will work closely with all staff members. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented yet have no problem working independently, extremely resourceful and understand the many new ways to build customer relationships and generate repeat business. This position requires that you can easily communicate to diverse audiences, and can quickly grasp and distill highly complex concepts into ideas that win over key partners and stakeholders.

Position Description:

The NSM will execute ongoing strategic sales campaigns and business opportunities to maximize sales, build company profile, develop and close sales leads. The goal of the NSM is to maximize gross margin, provide direction, and ensure the continued growth and profitability of the company. The NSM will support our sales objectives by implementing annual and quarterly sales plans and resources against business needs, and working with key distributors and retailers. The NSM will also: serve as a champion to inform the team of what is working and what can be improved; gather and analyze sales data and consumer insights to inform team on strategies; actively work to understand and convey the “voice of the customer” within all sales communications and programs; and manage the assigned sales budget and evaluate return on investment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster new business relationships and manage existing relationships.

  • Co-develop, manage and execute sales campaigns and programs designed to drive sales in the Natural and Specialty channels.

  • Focus on customer account management, including analyzing and collection of sales data. Track sales and follow up on inquiries.

  • Coordinate with the Marketing efforts on promotional materials, resources, training webinars and product offers.

  • Drive more leads and capture additional customer metrics.

  • Perform sales and business analysis for all projects, clearly stating assumptions, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.


  • 5-10 years or equivalent sales and sales management experience.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to link strategy to business goals and objectives.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with staff in a cross-functional setting.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

  • Bachelor’s degree.
