Time: 3:00pm - 4:30pm Friday Afternoon Workshops Session 5

Location: Trillium East

Speaker(s): Hannah Kullberg, founder Community Co-Pack, Erick Garman, OR Dept of Agriculture

This session is designed for natural food businesses and retailers seeking to partner with or come to a deeper understanding of a co-packer relationship, and for natural food manufacturers who might offer co-packer contract manufacturing services.

During this workshop, we will explore the co-packing search process, highlighting specialized tools like the ODA co-pack search and partnership building process. We will explore, navigating minimums, pricing, successful models of hybridized co-packing models and the different type of co-packing partners. Attendees will gain valuable insights into evaluating co-packing suitability for their businesses.

We will hold time for questions and discussion around participants’ experiences with contract manufacturing and discuss what is needed in our ecosystem to support a thriving natural food manufacturing sector. We will bring preliminary results from a survey we are conducting and look for valuable insight from participating businesses and leaders.
