Calling all produce staff! This workshop provides time for peer-to-peer conversation and sharing, for talking shop and getting consultation from experts in the produce trade. What challenges is your department facing? What are your department struggles and what help do you need to be successful? Where does your department shine, and what might others have to learn from your success? Do you have best practices and insights to share with the group? Facilitated by Kristi Yoder, Senior Sales Manager at Organically Grown Company, please bring your questions, answers and any department data that you wish to share for benchmarking.
As a teenager growing up in Eastern Oregon, Kristi Yoder first became passionate about eating food grown and produced with integrity. This enthusiasm and rebelliousness of youth turned into a values-based career in natural foods and organic produce. Now, Kristi’s experience includes 25 years in organic produce and two decades of leadership in the natural foods field, based in Eugene, Oregon. While at the University of Oregon, earning degrees in Environmental Studies and Biology, Kristi’s journey started as a Produce Clerk, growing into the position of Produce Manager and Front End Manager at Sundance Natural Foods. She then went on to work for organic wholesale produce marketer Organically Grown Company (OGC) as an Account Representative. She has proven to be a steadfast leader in business while staying true to purpose by serving organic growers, retailers, and eaters. She is currently the Senior Sales Manager at OGC.
