SPECIAL EDITION! Community Conversations: Staffing Recruitment

Time: FRIDAY, OCT 8th, 10:45 - 11:45 AM (PST)

Location: SESSION 1

Speaker(s): Lori Stohs - Global Chief Strategy & Inspiration Officer, Yogi Tea/East West Tea Co; John Strange - HR Manager, Ashland Food Co-op; Joe Wade, Provender Board Member, & Broker at Impact Group

Come join the conversation at this essential workshop about the sharing of best practices that support full staffing levels. Chronic under-staffing is taking a toll on those who show up to work each day, and stressing businesses to the maximum.

We’ll be addressing shortages, strategies, and possible solutions for you and your business.  We have a selection of key contributors to reflect the membership of Provender: Retailers, Manufacturers, Distributors, Retailers and Sales Professionals. Each key contributor provides a genuine sharing of their perspective and thoughts on the topic. We believe that all of us will be better able to craft out best plans when we are aware of the perspectives of the rest of our community. This workshop is a SPECIAL EDITION of Provender’s monthly Community Conversations, facilitated by Joe Wade, Provender Board member, and co-organized by Laurie Bock of Transformations Marketing.

Joe Wade – Joe has lived and worked in the field of natural foods since his college days in Atlanta GA. For many of the early years that was as a retailer in small shops and co-ops. Since relocating to the Seattle area in the late 70’s he’s also worked with large and small distributors, and with brokers – for a total of 40 years in the business and in the natural food community. He’s been a committed Provendarian for most of those years, staying in touch with friends and being inspired by many a Conference. He and his wife Annie (whom he met at the co-op) are now empty nesters, except for exchange students, and still in the Seattle area.
