Hummingbird Wholesale is an essential business following the mandates from the Governor of Oregon around the COVID-19 virus.
Candidates must be able to work in our facility following our 6-foot distancing policy and wearing a mask in the areas they are required.
Hand sewn masks are supplied and required in common use areas and encouraged when working on-site and with other Hummingbird coworkers. These masks are required when working in person with anyone outside of Hummingbird employment while on -site.

Job Summary
The Hummingbird Wholesale Sales Representative is responsible for working alongside the Sales Manager and Customer Service and Sales Team to execute the Company’s Sales strategy, foster customer relationships, drive financial growth and meet Company goals in alignment with the company’s mission and values. Knowledgeable about Hummingbird’s product lines and related market opportunities, the Sales Representative supports current customers, in addition to doing research and outreach to build new business relationships and onboarding of new customers. The Sales Representative is customer service focused in their sales approach and partners with the CSS team to develop, strengthen and grow customer relationships.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Education:
High school diploma required; some college preferred.

Skill Requirements:
Detail oriented, well organized
Strong understanding of customer service and sales best practices.
Strong computer literacy, including ability to generate reports and derive insights from raw data in Excel and from database sources.
Skilled at using Microsoft Office—Excel and Word—and familiar with using CRM and inventory management systems (Filemaker, Fishbowl and QuickBooks)
Strong math, logic, and problem solving/analysis skills.
Ability to prioritize, track multiple projects, and follow through.
Ability to work well individually and with others; team player who seeks to learn, support and grow within the team.
Effective oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal communication skills
Able to build and maintain personal relationships with customers that lead to sales outcomes

Experience:
Sales position in natural foods business; preference for experience in Wholesale, Business-to-Business Sales– minimum of 3-5 years required.
Wholesale contract negotiation, creation and management experience is preferred.

Other Information:
Travel to visit potential or current vendors, customers, or attend trade shows, educational conferences, or industry events will be necessary throughout the year. (Following the guidelines set by the CDC, OHA and Hummingbird Policies)
