August SFTA Peer Learning Tour:

Growing Sustainably: Learning and Sharing with Mountain Rose Herbs

August 16, 2018, 1-4:30pm PT

This dynamic tour provides an excellent opportunity to learn about how Mountain Rose Herbs (MRH) has incorporated sustainability from the ground up since its inception. The day includes an overview of MRH’s sustainability program and accomplishments, and a tour of their office, production, shipping and warehouse facilities. Special emphasis will be given to MRH’s Platinum-level TRUE Zero Waste Certification, Salmon-Safe certification projects, and the river projects supported through the company’s financial generosity and employee volunteer program.

This long afternoon together means multiple opportunities to network with sustainability professionals about challenges, opportunities, and innovations in environmentally and socially responsible business practices.

For the past 10 years Michael has lead the sustainability and communications department where he is responsible for the Nature and More trace and tell system, as well as the numerous campaigns including save our soils, true cost of food, natural branding and the Fair 1 cent for the future.
