If you’re looking for a spring pick-me-up, these three perfume oil recipes are sure to get you there! They are easy to make and offer a fresh new start to spring, or as I like to call it, the season of life.
Reflection Blend with Rose
This blend is grounding, but also very open. I often find myself in a state of reflection when I enjoy this aroma. It helps me to feel admiration for others and also for myself.
Ingredients
- 3-4 organic whole rose buds
- 4 mL organic sweet almond oil or other carrier oil of choice
- 3 drops organic geranium essential oil or rose absolute
- 2 drops Peru balsam essential oil
- 1 drop organic frankincense essential oil
- 1 drop organic sandalwood essential oil
Invigorating Tropical Citrus Blend
This tropical retreat is sure to brighten any day! It provides sweet and spicy notes, and invigorates a zest for life!
Ingredients
- 3–5 pieces organic hibiscus flowers
- 3–4 pieces organic dried orange peel
- 4 mL organic fractionated coconut oil or other carrier oil of choice
- 2 drops organic mandarin essential oil
- 2 drops organic ylang ylang essential oil
- 1 drop organic fresh ginger essential oil
- 1 drop organic pink pepper essential oil
Take-It-Easy Lavender Blend
Focused but soft, this blend can help to ease sensations of discontent. The mint and floral notes bring comfort and inner strength when they are needed most.
Ingredients
- Pinch of organic lavender flowers and 5-6 whole organic chamomile flowers
- 4 mL organic sunflower oil or other carrier oil of choice
- 2 drops amyris essential oil
- 2 drops organic lavender essential oil
- 1 drop organic peppermint essential oil
- 1 drop organic juniper essential oil
Blending & Bottling
Directions
- Insert whole flowers and/or other suggested dried botanicals into a 10 mL roll-top bottle until it is at least half full.
- Using a small funnel, fill the bottle with a neutral-scented carrier oil of choice, leaving about 1/4 inch of space at the top.
- Add the desired essential oil blend from the choices above.
- If space remains, top with a carrier oil to fill the bottle.
- Snap roller ball lid onto bottle. Roll bottle between palms to evenly mix oils.
